Armed with a homemade 3-string guitar made from a lunchbox, suitcase drum, I play old-school, down and dirty blues in the vein of Robert Johnson, Leadbelly, Muddy Waters, and Howlin' Wolf. Johnny Swank was born in the big city of Climax, NC in a house filled with Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, and gospel. His influences range from early blues, rockabilly, country, rock, and alternative stuff (whatever the hell that is)
He plays a variety of instruments, including the World Famous* Fritocaster 3-String-Ass-Kicking-Machine, homemade cigar box guitars, 1-string diddley bow, and resonator guitars. This ain't your mama's blues.
